Our impressions:
Diesel lovers, read the following carefully. If you are the happy
owner of a 206 Hdi, already renowned for its flexibility and driving pleasure, the Power
System treatment is for you. Compared to the standard 90 bhp, the modified version produces
119 and increases torque to 25.5 mkg. This weighty vehicle therefore has no trouble at all in
polishing off a good number of swanky pretenders. Acceleration, top speed and above all driving
pleasure are all greatly increased. From 80 to 120 Km/h in 4th or 5th, there is an improvement
of between 3 and 4 seconds, the values obtained placing the Peugeot at the same level as the
best petrol saloons.
In terms of pure power, the 119 bhp drive the lion up to nearly 200 Km/h and a kilometre
standing start figure of 30.2 seconds, i.e. 3.7 seconds better than the factory standard
vehicle! In this little game, it is better to balance the pressure you apply to the right
pedal; wheel spin starts at 2000 rpm in the low gears. Flexible right from tick-over, the
revised Hdi is noticeable above all for its astounding responsiveness: equally at ease at
1500 as at 4000 rpm, it accelerates strongly in every gear before running out of steam as it
enters the red. If you are a fan of fluid or spirited driving, this add-on box will fulfil
your every desire!
